Lite Source, Inc. began in 1985 as a source for doctors and hospitals to get replacement light bulbs for their medical equipment. Our first catalogs were created prior to digital photography. Our founder painstakingly created to-scale representations of the light bulbs using pixels. In 1999 we created one of the most sought-after catalogs in the industry, showing customers each lamp, to-scale so that they could get the product they needed.
We added batteries and recording paper to our product line after listening to the requests of our customers and have since expanded further into disposable examination room supply and hand-held instrumentation.

In August 2019, Lite Source was acquired by Allie Blanford, its long-time president and daughter of the founder. Allie shares the core values of Lite Source and will maintain the high level of customer service that our customers expect and deserve by continuing to listen to customers and provide solutions to their needs. Our focus continues to be on relationships and utilizing technology to make the customer experience efficient and positive.
In March 2020, the entire world was rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Lite Source was affected like many other businesses causing us to quickly pivot into the world of infection prevention to assist in obtaining the very hard-to-find products our customers needed to keep their doors open for their patients.
